Terms of Use
Last updated · 12 May 2026
These terms set out the basic rules for reading and using Fax Office 1987 at faxoffice1987.com. By using the site, you agree to them. They are written plainly so you can actually read them.
1. What Fax Office 1987 is
Fax Office 1987 is a daily online editorial magazine covering fashion, streetwear, design, and culture. Everything on the site, articles, photo edits, layouts, headlines, captions, is editorial content published by Fax Office 1987. There are no user accounts, no comments, and no paywall.
2. Who we are
Fax Office 1987 is published from Turkey. References in these terms to “we”, “us”, “the publication”, or “Fax Office 1987” mean the publisher operating faxoffice1987.com. Contact: hello@faxoffice1987.com.
3. Intellectual property
The original editorial content on Fax Office 1987 (writing, photography we commission or create, original graphics, the site’s design, and the Fax Office 1987 name and logo) is owned by Fax Office 1987 and protected by copyright and other rights.
We also write about brands, designers, products, and cultural figures. When we use third-party names, logos, or product imagery, we do so for editorial and journalistic purposes (commentary, criticism, reporting, reference). This is nominative use. It does not imply any endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation in either direction. If you are a rights holder and have a concern about a specific use, write to hello@faxoffice1987.com.
Some images on the site come from sources such as Unsplash or RSS-distributed press kits. Those images remain under their original licenses and credits.
3a. Editorial methodology
Fax Office 1987 reads what major outlets file each day, selects pieces that match our editorial remit, and rewrites them under a single voice charter. Every dispatch credits the source publication (“Via Dazed,” “Via Pitchfork,” etc.) and links to the original. Our editorial process is AI-assisted: a software pipeline drafts dispatches against the charter, a human editor reviews and approves before publication. This disclosure is also encoded in our NewsMediaOrganization structured data per Google’s E-E-A-T guidance.
Quotes from source material are limited to brief excerpts (≤15 words) in quotation marks with citation. Summaries are at least 50% shorter than the source and use original wording. If you believe a specific dispatch crosses these lines, write to editor@faxoffice1987.com and we will review within forty-eight hours.
3b. DMCA notice & takedown
If you are a copyright owner (or authorised to act for one) and believe content on Fax Office 1987 infringes your copyright, send a written notice including all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (a description, plus a link to the original where available).
- The URL on faxoffice1987.com where the infringing material appears, and enough detail to let us find it.
- Your contact information: name, address, telephone, email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.
Send the notice to editor@faxoffice1987.com with subject line DMCA Notice. We acknowledge receipt within twenty-four hours and remove or disable access to the disputed material within seventy-two hours of a valid notice. False or bad-faith notices may be subject to liability under applicable law.
Counter-notices (if you believe content was removed in error) should follow the same address and include the same elements, plus a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake.

6. Accuracy and updates
We work hard on what we publish and we correct mistakes when we find them. Editorial content can still go out of date. Information on Fax Office 1987 is provided “as is” for general reading. It is not professional advice (legal, financial, medical, or otherwise). Use your own judgement before acting on anything you read here.
7. Third-party links
Articles often link to brands, retailers, designers, and other publications. Those sites are not run by us. We are not responsible for their content, products, or privacy practices. Visiting them is at your own discretion.
Some outbound links to retailers are processed through an affiliate network (Skimlinks). When a reader buys something through one of those links, the office may receive a small commission at no additional cost to the reader. Affiliate routing never affects which products or houses we cover, and the Friday Telex newsletter is always sent without affiliate links or sponsored slots.
8. No warranty
We provide Fax Office 1987 on a best-effort basis. The site is offered “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, about uninterrupted access, error-free content, or fitness for a particular purpose.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fax Office 1987 is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example, mandatory consumer protections under Turkish law, or rights you have as an EU or UK consumer that cannot be waived).
10. Changes to the site or these terms
We may update, redesign, or discontinue parts of Fax Office 1987 at any time. We may also update these terms as the publication evolves. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. If a change is significant, we will flag it on the site.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. The courts of Istanbul have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights you may have under the law of your country of residence (in particular EU and UK consumer law).
If something goes wrong, please email us first at hello@faxoffice1987.com. Most issues are easier to fix that way than through a formal process.
